We couldn't be more pleased with our original oyster painting! It is a beautiful focal point of our coastal style home. Alexandra walked us through the purchase process helping us decide on coloring and size that worked best for us. Her communication, shipping and talent all make her highly recommended! --Hilary Walker, 2016
I absolutely love the artwork by Alexandra! I have an original piece and three prints. Everything is just beautiful and would be a fabulous addition to any home. Working with Alexandra was easy too! Everything arrived on time, in perfect condition, and I even received a hand written thank you note! Highly recommend! -- Lindsay Cyr
I purchased 3 paintings (one original) from Alexandra & they are hanging in the great room of our brand new Beach House on Saint Simons Island. They are bright & so professionally painted & framed. Alexandra takes a special interest in each client & is extremely dependable. -- Nancy Renfroe
We found Alexandra through a friend and asked her for a painting to go above our fireplace. After sending her some pictures of our living room and meeting with her to give more specific details, she came up with the perfect painting! Her talent is undeniable and its only a matter of time before she becomes a household name! We love our painting and also purchased several of her oyster prints. Her work perfectly represents the low country with beautiful scenery and bright, bold colors. - Kyle Belcher
We first met Alexandra at an outdoor market in Brunswick a few years ago. I bought a large print of a bright orange octopus that is now in my office and it's so bright and cheerful that it makes me smile to look at it. We came across her again at the Sea Island Outdoor Market this past Spring and I bought a pillow with a print of an oyster shell and it is LOVELY! We decided to base the new paint in our home on the color scheme in the pillow. I've recently ordered another, different one, and am waiting for it excitedly. She is a friendly and fun person and her art is beautiful, colorful and happy! -- Candi McCorkle
I hired this wonderful artist after meeting her and viewing her wide array of art at the Sea Island Market. I was struck by the beauty of her work but more importantly her zest and love for life. It was that zest that made me trust that she would paint a beautiful marsh landscape without any real direction from me whatsoever, other then "paint me a view of where I grew up." Some people either have it or they just do not! Alexandra Newton has it in spades and her works, I believe, will be in very high demand in the coming years.
She was an absolute pleasure to deal with and met the timelines that she told me she would. Often times the truly artistic mind is very aloof and difficult to deal with, Alexandra is neither. During the commission she sent me jpeg updates of the progress she was making and I was able to actually see the work come to life.
The painting she did for me is absolutely wonderful and there is not a day that goes by that I do not look at it and smile.
One little touch that Alexandra added to the order when we picked up "Low Country Vibes" was a matted abstract. I wasn't quite sure what to make of it until she told me what it was! The abstract was the color pallet that was used to paint the work. I love it just as much as the actual painting because it truly tells the story of what she created.
Please hire this beautifully talented artist and even better person, if you are looking for that perfect coastal piece to compliment your home. -- John Lauck
Alexandra Nicole's Deep Blue provides perfect color and tranquility to our recently-renovated family room. A former screened-in porch, we wanted the new room to invite the outdoors in, similarly to our beloved former porch. We left floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides of the room which act as picture windows for the lush sub-tropical vegetation such as plumbago palms, azaleas, hibiscus and ligustrum, indigenous to our island home on the Georgia coast. We chose a contemporary rap-around couch in oatmeal, a black round coffee table, dark hardwood floors and a cherished oriental room for the minimalist yet comfortable decor. Deep Blue is the "water" aspect to our room, adding life and vibrancy to our family's favorite oasis! -- Anna Levitan
