One of my favorite things about my work is being able to support grass roots organizations that tackle conservation issues at the local level!
Below are just a few of my favorite groups that do incredible work protecting ecosystems I hold near and dear. If you are looking for a way to impact our natural resources in a positive way, I highly recommend donating or getting involved with these organizations.
If you are a member of a conservation group and would like a donation for your cause, please don't hesitate to contact me! I love donating my time and my art as much as possible!
One Hundred Miles Vision: Thriving communities, protected landscapes, and secure wildlife.
The mission of One Hundred Miles is to preserve, protect, and enhance Georgia’s 100-mile coast.
They envision a future where coastal Georgia has thriving communities, protected landscapes, and secure wildlife.
The mission of Coastal WildScapes is to actively preserve and restore the highly significant biodiversity of Southeastern coastal ecosystems by protecting existing native habitats, rebuilding the connectivity of impaired habitats and minimizing the future fragmentation of the coastal landscape.
They have three overarching strategies to accomplish their mission:
Education Outreach - provide and facilitate presentations to professional organizations, civic groups, garden clubs, schools, non-profits, and commercial entities.
Conservation Initiatives - provide volunteers in partnership with other organizations to protect and rebuild habitats.
Grassroots Activities - stimulate opportunities to expand involvement and awareness of critical coastal issues.
4-H Tidelands Nature Center offers hands-on coastal ecology programs for the general public and school groups, guided kayak tours, canoe rentals, and a live coastal species exhibit gallery.
In keeping with Georgia 4-H Environmental Education program objectives, Tidelands strives to develop an awareness, knowledge, and appreciation for the environment, as we connect participants with Georgia's coastal ecosystems.
